Tere Gott – Ilustración Gratis: Copihue

Ayer vía mailing, la ilustradora chilena Tere Gott, compartió unas ilustraciones de copihues para descarga gratuita -abajo está el link de su web-. Los copihues son flores chilenas que crecen desde Coquimbo hasta Puerto Montt y estas florecen cada 10 años.

El nombre científico del copihue es Lapageria rosea, en honor a la emperatriz criolla Josephine Bonaparte, primera esposa de Napoleón Bonaparte, cuyo nombre de soltera fue Josefina Tascher de la Pagerie.

Su nombre mapuche “copihue” significa “estar boca abajo”, y este es símbolo de felicidad, gratitud, alegría, virtud y amistad.
